The Signal Score

How much should you trust it?

Every claim we cover gets a score from 1 to 5, based on the kind of evidence behind it, not how exciting it sounds.

1Lab or animals only
2Early human data
3Solid human studies
4Large human studies
5Strong trials, consistent

How we decide

Who was studied (cells, animals or people), how many, for how long, and whether it was a randomized trial or an observation. Consistent results across several good human studies score higher.

A low score

doesn’t mean false. It means we don’t know yet. Interesting early science is not the same as a proven treatment for you.

A high score

means large, consistent human data, ideally from randomized trials. It still doesn’t mean it’s right for you. That’s a conversation with your clinician.

If we get something wrong, we correct it publicly and note the change.
